Refunds & Cancellation Policy
Effective 21 october 2026. This policy governs payments made to Star Makers Distribution Ltd for subscriptions, music distribution, video distribution, marketing services, and related services.
General Policy: No Refunds
All payments made to Star Makers Distribution Ltd are final and non-refundable once processed, except for the limited exceptional circumstances stated in this policy.
This applies to subscription fees, marketing services, video distribution, music distribution, one-off services, add-ons, and bundled services. It also applies where a client changes their mind, does not use a service, withdraws content, or no longer requires the service.
Why Payments Are Non-Refundable
Services begin immediately after payment. Star Makers Distribution may commit internal resources, third-party licensing costs, distribution slots, and administrative processing to the client's account or release.
Music and video distribution involve submissions to third-party platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube. Once submitted, those deliveries and related costs may not be reversible.
Marketing spend, promotional placements, outreach, and digital services are deployed or made available after payment and cannot generally be recalled or returned.
Subscriptions and Future Billing
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
No pro-rated refund, credit, or reimbursement is provided for an unused portion of a billing period. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and takes effect from the next billing cycle.
The client is responsible for cancelling before the renewal date if they do not wish to continue.
Distribution and Marketing Services
Marketing fees are final upon payment. Star Makers Distribution does not guarantee specific streams, views, engagement figures, placements, or campaign outcomes.
Music and video distribution fees are final upon submission for processing, including where a platform later rejects, delays, removes, or takes down content for reasons outside Star Makers Distribution's reasonable control.
Where incorrect, incomplete, or non-compliant information, artwork, metadata, or content supplied by a client causes delay, rejection, or re-processing, no refund is due and a reasonable additional processing fee may apply.
Chargebacks and Disputed Transactions
Clients should contact Star Makers Distribution first to resolve a billing or service concern. Where this policy applies, an unauthorised payment reversal or chargeback may result in account suspension, service restriction, content removal pending resolution, and recovery of reasonable processing or chargeback costs.
Star Makers Distribution may provide payment and service-delivery records to a payment provider or card issuer when responding to a dispute.
Exceptional Circumstances
Star Makers Distribution may, at its discretion, consider a refund only where a client was charged twice for the same service, was charged an amount that does not match the selected plan because of a verified billing error, or Star Makers Distribution wholly failed to provide a paid service because of a verified internal error and did not remedy the failure within a reasonable time after written notice.
Requests must be sent in writing to support@starmakersdistro.com within seven (7) days of the disputed charge and should include satisfactory evidence. Any approved refund is limited to the duplicate, erroneous, or wholly undelivered amount and does not create a precedent.
How to Cancel
Cancel through the account settings or billing section of the dashboard, where available, or contact support@starmakersdistro.com in writing. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not refund amounts already paid for the current or previous billing periods.
Acknowledgement and Changes
By making a payment, the client acknowledges that the services are final-sale and non-refundable except as expressly stated in this policy, and that the client had an opportunity to review the service scope and terms before payment.
Star Makers Distribution Ltd may update this policy by publishing a revised version on starmakersdistro.com. The revised policy takes effect upon publication.
Governing Law and Contact
This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
