Tell us who you are: your legal name, artist name and any IPI or society membership you already have.

Review the commission, rights and territories, then sign electronically. It lets us register your songs on your behalf.

What happens after I submit my songs?
Our publishing team reviews each new registration. You see each step on your dashboard: in review, approved, then registered.
Which royalties do you collect?
Performance royalties (radio, TV, live shows, venues and streaming), mechanical royalties (streams, downloads and physical sales), sync fees when your songs are licensed for film, TV, ads and games, and digital royalties from YouTube and social video, as covered by your agreement.
How do I get paid?
Straight to your bank account, wherever you are in the world, once your balance reaches the payout minimum. Every payment comes with a statement showing where the money came from.
Can I use Star Makers Publishing wherever my music is released?
Yes. You can register and administer your compositions however and wherever your recordings are released.
Do I give up ownership of my songs?
No. You keep ownership of your compositions. The administration agreement authorises us to administer them; it does not transfer your copyright.
What's the difference between Free and Standard?
Only the fee and the split. Free has no fee and you receive 70% of the publishing royalties we collect for you (we keep 30%). Standard is a one-time $30 and you receive 80% (we keep 20%). Both include the same registration, collection and statements.
What does the split apply to?
To the publishing royalties we actually receive for your share, after any fees charged by the societies and partners that collect them. Your share is 80% on Standard or 70% on Free; the rest is our administration commission.
Is the administration exclusive?
Yes. When you sign, Star Makers becomes the exclusive administrator of your share of the works you register, within the rights and territories in your agreement. You keep ownership; we collect your full share so nothing is claimed twice.
Which countries do you collect from?
Only the territories and royalty types covered by our active partner arrangements. Your agreement lists them. Your dashboard shows a song as registered only once every society we register it with has accepted it, never just because it is in our system.
My co-writer already has an account. Will they be charged again?
No. On Standard the $30 fee is charged once per writer, never per song. On Free there is no fee.
